The crazy Pokemon Go makes oil prices soaring

Pokemon Go is a "virtual reality" mobile phone APP, first published in Australia, and then in Europe, North America, South America and other regions in succession released, like hyper-viral swept the world. For just a few days, there have been more than 5% of the Android mobile phone users downloading it. In the past few weeks, Pokemon Go downloads doubled, from the beginning of the 5 million increase to the present 50 million, turned ten times.

Reportedly, the APP is generating millions of dollars a day for its owners Nintendo whose market capitalization has increased by $10 billion in a week and kept increasing. According to the skyrocketing data usage, a trend of Pokemon Go is sustainable and turns out to be a fad.

However, one of the more interesting effects has not yet been discussed by market experts or mainstream media. There's been a warning from local regulators like the New York Department of transportation, as a drive to play Pokemon Go to surge. On Craigslist, there are listings by drivers in multiple cities, offering rides for $20-30 an hour for players, and there are numerous post twitter addressing strategies for using Lyft and Uber to maximize Pokemon Go playing experience.

Moreover, an interesting angle here, both with this APP and the potential for other virtual reality APPs, is in the car utilization, which will lead to an increase in gasoline consumption and oil demand potential. The United States uses 18 million barrels of oil a day, of which more than 55% are used for driving. With even a small part of the user's pocket monsters to increase their driving, even if the use of 10 million Android users did not continue to grow exponentially, which could increase the oil consumption on the barrel of thousands of tunes per day. In this way, Pokemon Go makes oil prices soaring.
